Zaiviji Ismail Bin Abdullah

Zaiviji PicZaiviji Ismail was appointed to the Board of UEM Group Berhad on 8 November 2011.

He is an Alumni Member of Cranfield University, member of The International Association of Non-Executive Directors and Associate Member of Malaysian Alliance of Corporate Directors. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Cranfield University, England.

Zaiviji has vast management experience providing fiscal, strategic and operational leadership in challenging situations.

He started his career with Bank Negara Malaysia from 1979 to 1983 and later joined Malaysia Building Society Berhad in 1984 to 1989.

Zaiviji joined Shell Malaysia and had served in various positions in Malaysia for a period from 1990 to 2001. He was then posted to Oman to be the General Manager of the Retail Business in Shell Oman Marketing in October 2001 to January 2004. In February 2004, he was posted to Pakistan to be the General Manager of the Retail Business in Shell Pakistan Limited before taking on the Cluster General Manager's role for both Oman and Pakistan. In August 2006, he was appointed Managing Director of Shell Pakistan Limited and at the same time was named the Chairman of Shell Companies in Pakistan.

From August 2006 and July 2011, Zaiviji sat on various Boards in Pakistan and one in Oman covering the energy, health and education sectors. This includes 4 public listed companies. Zaiviji also served as the President of the Petroleum Institute of Pakistan from 2010 to June 2011.

In October 2010, Zaiviji won Pakistan's 1st Global CEO Excellence Award.

Zaiviji also sits on the Boards of Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad, PLUS Expressways International Berhad, TIME Engineering Berhad and is the Chairman of Uniquest Infra Ventures Private Limited in India (a JV between Khazanah and IDFC). He is also the Chairman of Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd.

Dato' Izzaddin Idris

Dato PicDato' Izzaddin Idris was appointed Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Group Berhad on 7 July 2009.

Dato' Izzaddin holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (First Class Honours in Finance) from University of New South Wales, Australia and is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

He has over 20 years of experience in the fields of investment banking, financial and general management and was previously the Chief Financial Officer/Senior Vice President (Group Finance) of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, a position he held from September 2004 to June 2009.

He was formerly a Senior Vice President (Corporate Finance) of Southern Bank Berhad and the Chief Financial Officer of Ranhill Berhad. He also held the position of Chief Operating Officer of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad in the late 1990s. After graduating in June 1985, Dato' Izzaddin served Malaysian International Merchant Bankers Berhad for almost 11 years which included a 3-year secondment in the late 1980s to Barclays de Zoete Wedd Limited, a London-based investment bank and a subsidiary of Barclays Bank PLC then.

Dato' Izzaddin is also the Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of PLUS Expressways International Berhad and is a Board member of several UEM Group of Companies including UEM Sunrise Berhad, UEM Edgenta Berhad, PLUS Malaysia Berhad, Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad and PT Lintas Marga Sedaya in Indonesia.

In addition, Dato' Izzaddin is a member of the Board of Trustees at Yayasan UEM, a non-profit foundation that supports the implementation of UEM Group Berhad’s corporate responsibility initiatives and philanthropic activities as well as a Director of Yayasan Putra Business School, a non-profit organisation that aims to become a home-grown globally recognised Business School.

Sunil Kakar

Sunil KakarSunil Kakar is the Group Chief Financial Officer at IDFC. He holds an MBA in Finance from XLRI and a Degree in Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Prior to joining IDFC, Sunil worked with Max New York Life Insurance Company and was a part of the start-up team. In his stint of 18 years at Bank of America, he worked in various roles, covering Business Planning & Financial Control, Branch Administration and Operations, Market Risk Management, Project Management and Internal Controls and served as the CFO from 1996 to 2001.

Babar Ali Khan

Babar Ali KhanBabar Ali Khan serves as the Director, Khazanah India. He possesses a B. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and is a Post Graduate in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has over 13 years of experience, which includes his stint with SAIF Partners, a private equity fund focusing on investments in India and China with over USD 2 billion funds. He has also worked with McKinsey & Company in the past.
